I was just surfing around in Ebay when I discovered you can get RVs there!

It is true that there are many advantages to buying an RV at a recreational vehicle auction, as long as you protect yourself from any possibility of fraud and scamming.

But I think the following few tips will help you in getting a good deal from any recreational vehicle auction you choose, while avoiding the possibility of being cheated ( internet has never been my favourite mode of buying anything so expensive )

1. Be sure to avoid any type of agreement in which you need to make any type of down-payment before the auction starts, with the assurance that if you do not buy anything (do not win any bid) the money will be refunded.

2. Must check out the credential of the auction to ensure that it has the requisite license to hold an auction and the members are authorized to have a recreational vehicle auction. If possible, only associate yourself with leading auction brands. Even if the auction is recommended by a friend, or by your present auction house, you will still have to check that particular auction house meticulously whether are they legal or not and see whether the auction in question is registered with the Better Business Bureau or not.

Definitely better to be safe than sorry!

RV- Recreational Vehicle and indeed it is gaining its popularity! No longer does RVs come in old dirty trailers, there are now a whole array of modern and luxurious models.

I have read this news that says now many buyers are aged 40-50, the baby boomers. Such RVs used to be favorites of younger folks from 30-40 but now the baby boomers find RVs are perfect for travelling.

The typical RV owner is 49 and married with a $68,000 annual household income, according to a 2005 survey by the University of Michigan Survey Research Center for the RV industry.

Although Sept. 11 put a chill on the travel industry, the RV industry has clocked steady growth, with 2004 and 2005 recording the best sales figures ever, says Jim Lubinskas, marketing communications manager for the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association. One in 12 U.S. vehicle-owning households have the keys to at least one RV, according to the association's data. And boomers lead the growth in the industry, Lubinskas says.
